About Smokehouse Social Barbecue
Texas Barbecue
Located at 2363 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, Smokehouse Social Barbecue operates as a chinese bbq serving Pasadena in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (626) 639-6008. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is smokehousesocialbarbecue.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 142 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese bbq & roast meats in Pasadena.
Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Pasadena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Support small business! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Hands down the best BBQ in the neighborhood! If youβve been searching for legit Texas-style barbecue around here, look no further. You can tell they take their time with the meatβthe brisket is smoked for 13 hours and it shows in every melt-in-your-mouth bite. The pork ribs are top-tier too: incredible flavor, perfect smoke ring, and tender without falling apart into mush. On top of the food, the vibe is spot-on. Itβs a super cozy spot to hang out, grab a cold beer, and catch whatever game is on. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Smokehouse Social was so accomodating for the last minute reservation for a party of 11. ***But definitely do their Reservation Form*** Food was really good & really delicious. My party ordered El Jefe for the serving size of 10-12. But we have 3 big eaters that we had to order: -1 order of St. Louis Ribs -1 order of Brisket -2 orders of Tumeric Rice (had to modify to the Baked Beans) Will come back againπ

This place is great. New place, been open for about one and a half years. The owner Jensen is a really cool and nice guy. Had his kids there that day as itβs summer break and he was having them help out. Love to see family owned places thriving. Come support this local business and get some amazing barbecue. Speaking of barbecue, the food here was really good. The smell as you entered the door was mesmerizing. I love the smell of freshly smoked barbecue. Nothing beats that smell. They donβt do plates, so you have to order the meat and size separately. Or you can do a sandwich. I had a half rack of ribs and a pound of brisket. I chose the barbecue baked beans and coleslaw as my sides. I also tried the munch mentioned/raved about blue masa cornbread. Everything was super delicious. The brisket was not fatty and more on the lean side. So if you are a fan of non-fatty brisket, you were going to love this place. The bark on the brisket was made to perfection. Super yummy. The St. Louis style ribs were impeccable. Perfectly crust with super juicy tender middle and fall off the bone meat. You seriously canβt go wrong with that. Baked beans and coleslaw weβre really good as well. The

Honestly, the food is just OK. The meats lacked flavor and definitely needed the barbecue sauce. Canβt complain about the sauce though, it was tasty and had a little bit of spice, but does not pack too much of a punch (in a good way). We got the pulled pork and the brisket. The brisket was soft and melt in your mouth. The pulled pork could use more seasoning. The salad portion was really big and I wish it had a little bit more dressing. The mac and cheese needs a thorough stirring because it tasted a little bland at the top but I think all the flavor and cheese was at the bottom so make sure you give it a good mix. Overall I would say the food is average, a decent option if you are craving barbecue in the area but I've definitely had better.
